What is the lowest eBay offer I should accept?
Start with the product cost, shipping cost you pay and the net profit you want to keep. The calculator works backwards through the selected eBay category fee schedule to find the minimum item-price offer that reaches that goal.
The result also shows an absolute break-even offer. That lower number is where estimated profit reaches zero, while the main minimum offer is based on the positive target profit you entered.
Buyer-paid shipping and sales tax change the fee math
Shipping charged to the buyer is revenue on the order and can also be part of eBay's final-value-fee base. Seller-paid shipping is a cost. Keeping those two values separate prevents a free-shipping listing from being treated the same as a buyer-paid shipping listing.
If you enter an estimated sales-tax rate, the calculator adds the tax to eBay's fee base but not to your seller revenue. Leave it blank when you do not want to model a likely tax amount.
Use the offer floor before accepting or countering
An offer below the calculated floor is projected to miss your target profit under the assumptions you entered. An offer at or above it should meet the target before any excluded costs.
Promoted Listings, international charges, listing upgrades and seller-performance additions are intentionally excluded from this decision tool. If one of those costs applies, account for it before using the result as your final acceptance threshold.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know the lowest eBay offer I should accept?
Enter the product cost, seller-paid shipping and the net profit you want. The calculator works backwards through the selected category fee schedule to find the minimum item price that reaches that target.
What is the difference between minimum offer and break-even offer?
The minimum offer keeps the target profit you entered. The break-even offer is the lower price where estimated net profit is zero.
Does buyer-paid shipping affect the minimum eBay offer?
Yes. Buyer-paid shipping can add revenue and can also affect the final-value-fee base, while the shipping amount you pay is treated as a seller cost.
Why is sales tax optional?
Sales tax varies by transaction. eBay can include applicable tax in the final-value-fee base, so an estimated rate can improve the fee model for a likely buyer location.
Does this include Promoted Listings fees?
No. Use the separate eBay Promoted Listings Break-even Calculator when advertising cost is part of the sale.
Does this include eBay Store fee rates?
No. The calculator uses the supported standard US seller schedule without a Store subscription.
Can I use the result as an automatic offer rule?
Use it as a pricing decision based on the costs you entered. If your real costs, category, tax, advertising or account-specific fees change, recalculate before relying on the same floor.
