How much is the Etsy Offsite Ads fee?

Etsy charges an Offsite Ads fee when a buyer clicks an eligible offsite ad and then places an attributed order from the shop within 30 days.

Shops that have always stayed below 10,000 USD in Etsy sales over any consecutive 365 day period use the 15 percent rate. Once a shop reaches the threshold, the rate is 12 percent and participation becomes required for the lifetime of the shop.

The Offsite Ads fee is capped at 100 USD per attributed order. For non-USD shops, the converted cap is an estimate because Etsy’s exchange rate can differ.

How much profit does an Offsite Ads sale leave?

The profit difference shows what the attributed order loses specifically because of the Offsite Ads fee. Normal Etsy transaction, processing, listing and regulatory fees are still charged where they apply.

When does Etsy charge the Offsite Ads fee?

An Offsite Ads fee can apply when a buyer clicks an eligible offsite ad and places an attributed order from the shop within Etsy's attribution window. The fee is additional to the normal seller fees on that order.

The calculator lets you compare the same order with and without the Offsite Ads fee, which makes the advertising cost visible without confusing it with the transaction, processing or listing fees that would exist on the sale anyway.

Frequently asked questions

What percentage does Etsy charge for Offsite Ads?

The published rate is 15 percent for qualifying shops below the sales threshold and 12 percent once a shop has reached 10,000 USD in a consecutive 365 day period.

Is there a maximum Etsy Offsite Ads fee?

Yes. Etsy states that the Offsite Ads fee for one attributed order will not exceed 100 USD.

Yes. The Offsite Ads fee is additional to the normal Etsy seller fees that apply to the order.

Can I opt out of Etsy Offsite Ads?

A shop that has never reached the 10,000 USD threshold can opt out. After reaching the threshold, participation is required for the lifetime of the shop.

Does an Offsite Ads sale stay profitable?

That depends on the selling price, normal Etsy fees, the Offsite Ads fee and your product and fulfilment costs. This calculator compares both profit states directly.

How long after an Offsite Ads click can a fee apply?

Etsy's current Offsite Ads policy uses a 30-day attribution window after an eligible ad click.

Is the Offsite Ads fee included in the normal Etsy transaction fee?

No. The Offsite Ads fee is an additional advertising fee on an attributed order; normal Etsy seller fees still apply separately.
