How many Etsy sales do I need per month?
The calculator first estimates profit from one average sale after Etsy fees and the product, shipping and other per sale costs you enter.
Your monthly profit goal is then divided by that estimated profit per sale. The result is rounded up because a partial order cannot complete the goal.
If you add a conversion rate, estimated visits are calculated from the sales target. No visit estimate is shown when the conversion rate is missing.
From monthly sales target to estimated Etsy visits
If you enter a shop conversion rate, the calculator converts the required sales into an estimated visit target. For example, a lower conversion rate requires more visits to produce the same number of orders.
Use a conversion rate based on your own shop data and a similar period whenever possible. The calculator leaves visits blank when no rate is supplied instead of inventing an industry average.
Planning for Offsite Ads
If part of your orders normally come from Offsite Ads, enter that expected share and select the rate that applies to your shop. The calculator blends normal sale profit with Offsite Ads sale profit instead of assuming every order has the same advertising fee.
